Terms & Conditions

Last updated 26 October 2026.

These terms apply when you buy from langhamfurniture.com as a consumer. Please read them before you order: they explain how ordering works, what you pay, how delivery works, and your rights to cancel and to return faulty goods. Nothing in them affects your legal rights as a consumer.

1. About us

We are Langham Furniture Ltd, a company registered in Scotland under company number SC898771, with our registered office at 5 Kingsheath Avenue, Glasgow G73 2DG.

You can contact us by email at info@langhamfurniture.com, by phone on 07784 431115, or by post at the address above.

2. Your order

You must be 18 or over to place an order. When you place an order and pay, you are offering to buy the items in your basket. The contract between us starts when we email you to confirm your order. If we cannot accept your order — for example because an item is no longer available, or because of an obvious error in a price or description — we will tell you and refund anything you have paid in full.

We describe and photograph our products as accurately as we can, but fabric colours vary slightly between batches and look different on different screens. If colour matters, order a fabric sample first.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling. We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged on your order and none is shown separately. The delivery charge, if there is one, is shown in your total before you pay. You can pay online through PayPal, by card or with a PayPal account; we may also agree payment by bank transfer with you directly. Ownership of your items passes to you once we have received payment in full.

4. Reserve with a deposit

Some products can be reserved with a deposit instead of being paid for in full. The deposit is shown before you pay and is taken off the price of the item. The rest of the price — the balance — and any delivery charge are paid before delivery; we will contact you to arrange it. If you decide not to go ahead, tell us and we will refund your deposit.

5. Delivery

Delivery is free to addresses within 50 miles of our store, measured in a straight line from our store’s postcode (G73 2DG). Beyond that there is a flat £50 charge. The charge is worked out from your postcode at checkout and shown before you pay. See our delivery page for more.

Some items are made to order and take longer to be ready; the product page shows how long. We will contact you to arrange a delivery date. If we do not agree a delivery time with you, we will deliver without undue delay and within 30 days of the contract. If we are going to be late, we will tell you, and you may be entitled to cancel.

Please check before you order that your item will fit through your doorways, stairs and landings — the product page lists its dimensions. Tell us about any access difficulties when you order.

Your items are our responsibility until they are delivered to you or to someone you have nominated to receive them.

6. Items made to your specification

Many of our beds are made to order in the size, fabric and colour you choose. Because they are made to your specification, the legal 14-day right to cancel does not apply to them once ordered. This does not affect your rights if an item is faulty or not as described (section 8).

7. Your right to cancel other items

For items that are not made to your specification, you have the right to cancel for any reason within 14 days of the day you, or someone you nominate, receive them. If your order arrives in several deliveries, the 14 days run from the last one.

How to cancel. Tell us clearly before the 14 days end — by email, by phone, by post, or using the model cancellation form below. If you have an account, you can also use “Report a problem” on your order page.

Returning the items. Return them to us, or have them ready for collection, within 14 days of telling us you are cancelling. Please take reasonable care of them in the meantime. You pay the cost of returning them. If an item is too large or heavy to go by post and you would like us to collect it, we will arrange collection and charge you no more than £50 for it.

Your refund. We will refund the price you paid and the standard delivery charge within 14 days of receiving the items back, or of receiving evidence that you have sent them if that is sooner, using the method you paid with. We may reduce your refund if the value of an item has gone down because you handled it more than was needed to inspect it, as you would in a shop.

8. Faulty or damaged items

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, what you buy must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If it is not:

  • within 30 days of delivery, you can reject it for a full refund;
  • after that, or if you would prefer, you can ask us to repair or replace it; if a repair or replacement is not possible or does not fix the problem, you can have a refund or a price reduction;
  • a fault that appears within six months of delivery is assumed to have been there at delivery unless we can show otherwise.

If something arrives damaged or develops a fault, please contact us as soon as you can with your order number and photos. We pay the cost of returning or collecting faulty items. These rights apply to every item, including those made to your specification.

9. Our responsibility to you

If we break these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.

10. Events outside our control

If something beyond our reasonable control delays or prevents us delivering your order, we will tell you as soon as we can and do what we reasonably can to reduce the delay. If the delay is significant, you can cancel and we will refund what you have paid for items you have not received.

11. Your personal information

We use your personal information as described in our privacy policy.

12. Complaints

If you are unhappy with anything, please contact us first — most problems are quickest to fix that way. If we cannot resolve your complaint, we will tell you about an alternative dispute resolution service. Free, independent consumer advice is available from consumeradvice.scot in Scotland and Citizens Advice in England and Wales.

13. The law that applies

These terms are governed by Scots law, and you can bring proceedings in the Scottish courts. If you live in England, Wales or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one on this page when you placed it.
