Cookie Policy
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Langham Furniture uses a few that the shop cannot work without, some that run on every visit, and — only if you say yes — any listed below as a choice.
We would rather state this plainly than bury it: the sections marked “Always on” run on every visit and cannot be switched off on this site. They are not essential to the shop working — your basket and checkout do not need them — but we use them to see how the site is doing, to measure our advertising and to run live chat. Each section says what it stores and how to stop it in your browser.
Your choices
- Essential — always on
- Matching your order to an ad (Meta & Google) — not chosen yet, so off
Essential cookies
Always on. They make the shop work — your basket, signing in, checkout and security — and are not used to track you.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| langham-furniture-session | Keeps your basket, sign-in and checkout together as you move from page to page. | 2 hours after your last page view |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Security. Stops another website from submitting forms on this site in your name. | 2 hours after your last page view |
| remember_customer_… | Only if you tick “Remember me” when you sign in: keeps you signed in on this device. | 400 days, or until you sign out |
| lf_consent | Remembers the cookie choices you made, so we do not ask on every page. | 6 months |
Facebook & Instagram ads · Meta
Always on, and you cannot switch these off here. The Meta Pixel tells Meta which pages you view and what you add to your basket, so we can see which of our ads work and show ours to people who have visited our site. To stop it, use your browser’s cookie settings or its tracking protection — the links under this table explain what the provider does with the data.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| _fbp | Set by the Meta Pixel to recognise your browser, so Meta can tell whether a visit or a sale came from one of our ads. | 90 days |
| _fbc | Set only when you arrive by clicking one of our ads on Facebook or Instagram. Records that click. | 90 days |

Site statistics · Google Analytics
Always on, and you cannot switch these off here. Google Analytics counts visits and shows us which pages people use, so we can see what works on the site and what does not. To stop it, use your browser’s cookie settings or its tracking protection — the links under this table explain what the provider does with the data.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Set by Google Analytics to tell visitors apart, so visits can be counted. | 2 years |
| _ga_… | Set by Google Analytics to keep track of your current visit. | 2 years |

Live chat · Tawk.to
Always on, and you cannot switch these off here. Tawk.to runs our live chat. It loads on every page so the chat is ready when you need it, and stores data in your browser to keep a conversation connected as you move around the site. To stop it, use your browser’s cookie settings or its tracking protection — the links under this table explain what the provider does with the data.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| TawkConnectionTime | Set by Tawk.to to keep your live chat connected while you browse. | When you close your browser |
| twk_uuid_… | Set by Tawk.to to recognise your browser, so a conversation can carry on if you come back. | 6 months |
| twk_… (browser storage) | Tawk.to also keeps chat details in your browser’s local storage. | Until cleared |

Matching your order to an ad · Meta & Google
If you place an order, we tell Meta and Google about it from our server, so they can tell whether the sale came from one of our ads. Meta receives a scrambled (hashed) copy of your contact details; Google receives the order value and items, linked to your visit. This is separate from the Meta Pixel and Google Analytics, which run on every visit. Off unless you switch it on.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|
More from the provider: Meta’s cookie policy. If you are logged in to Facebook or Instagram, Meta may also use its own cookies on its own sites, under that policy.

When you pay with PayPal you leave this site for PayPal’s, and PayPal sets its own cookies there under its own policy. The WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp; we do not set any cookie for it.
Changing your mind
Use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. Switching a category off deletes the cookies that service stored on this site and stops it loading. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser’s settings; if you block essential cookies, the basket and sign-in will not work.
