Our Story

Langham Furniture was founded on a simple belief: that a good night's sleep begins with a well-made bed. We are a bed and bedroom furniture specialist based in Glasgow, and everything in our collection — bed frames, storage divans, ottoman beds, children's beds and mattresses — is handcrafted to order rather than pulled from a warehouse.

Made to order, not made in advance

Nothing we sell is held in stock. When you place an order, you choose the size, the fabric and the colour, and your piece is built to that specification. It is the reason we quote four to six weeks rather than next-day delivery, and it is the reason two Langham beds are rarely identical. You are not choosing from what happened to be manufactured; you are specifying what gets made.

That also means a made-to-order piece cannot be swapped for a different fabric once it is under way. We would always rather you spent a fortnight with a swatch on the bed than took a guess from a screen — which is why we sell fabric samples for £2 each, in all five of our cloths.

Choosing with us

Every product page carries a specifications tab with the dimensions we hold for that model, because the difference between a bed fitting a room and dominating it is usually a matter of centimetres. If you are working to a tight space, an awkward landing or a tenement stairwell, measure the route in as well as the room — several of our headboards are supplied in bolt-together sections precisely because of it.

Delivery

Delivery is free within 50 miles of our Glasgow store, and a flat £50 beyond that. Our two-person team brings the piece into the room of your choice rather than leaving it at the door.
