About the Venice Samples
A screen will not tell you what a fabric is like. A Venice sample will: how the colour shifts between morning light and lamplight, how the surface takes a shadow, what it feels like under your hand. Order one, live with it on the bed for a few days, and the decision usually makes itself.
One thing to know before you compare. Every bed is upholstered individually and cut from its own roll of cloth, so the finished piece can differ from the swatch by up to around 10 per cent in shade. Colour also behaves differently at scale — a tone that looks soft on a small square can read deeper across a full headboard, and different rooms will pull it warmer or cooler.
Samples are the cheapest part of a made-to-order bed and by some distance the most useful. If you are torn between two or three shades, order them together and see them side by side in the room they are actually destined for.
