About the Lucia
Lucia is the bed for people who already know what colour they want. The headboard is broad and full height, so the fabric covers a great deal of ground and ends up doing most of the talking: a flat weave keeps the shape calm and architectural, while a velvet turns exactly the same outline into something considerably richer. Here the fabric is not a finishing touch, it is the design decision.
The form underneath is deliberately unfussy — tall headboard, padded surround around the mattress, nothing competing for attention. That makes it a sound choice for a bedroom that already has plenty going on in the curtains or the carpet, and equally for a bare room where the bed is the only soft thing in sight.
The practicalities are handled. The headboard is supplied split as standard, so it comes up the stairs in sections and bolts back together in the room. Each Lucia is made from scratch after ordering, to your size, fabric and colour.
