About the Alexa
Alexa sits in the middle ground. The frame stands a modest distance outside the mattress on each side, enough to give the bed a defined edge without swallowing a room of ordinary size, and the headboard is kept to a comfortable height rather than a dramatic one. It is displayed in plush velvet cream, which reads the upholstery plainly.
Simple shapes tend to last longest, and Alexa is a simple shape. In a pale linen it recedes into the walls; in a darker velvet it becomes the one solid block of colour in the room. That range is the argument for making beds to order rather than buying them ready-built.
Each Alexa is cut and upholstered after the order comes in — nothing is stocked, nothing is assembled in advance. Because it is made by hand, individual beds vary very slightly in their finished measurements, so measure with a little tolerance and check your access before you order.
