About the Hampton High Foot End
Most beds stop at the headboard. The Hampton does not: the foot end is raised and upholstered to match, so the bed is enclosed on all four sides and reads as one considered object rather than a base with a board at the top. It is the detail that makes the Hampton work in a larger bedroom, where a low-footed bed can look as though it is adrift in the floor space.
The headboard is the same generous height in every size, which keeps the proportions honest whether you order a double or a superking. Nothing is built until the order is placed: you set the size, the fabric and the colour, and the bed is built to match.
There is a storage option as well. Specify gas lift and the Hampton is built on our two-part ottoman base, which puts an unbroken deck beneath the mattress and makes the compartment underneath stronger for it — useful in a bedroom where the wardrobe is already full.
