About the Cali
Channelled upholstery gives the Cali its rhythm: a run of soft vertical ribs across the headboard that holds shadow and stops a large piece from reading flat. Around it sits a mirrored border, studded at intervals, which throws light back into the room and draws a crisp edge around the fabric.
It is shown in Plush Velvet Cream, the combination the design was drawn for, though the upholstery is chosen by you from our fabric and colour range. In every size the headboard is noticeably wider than the mattress, so the Cali behaves less like a bed frame and more like a wall feature with a bed in front of it — check the headboard width against your wall rather than the bed width.
Add gas-lift ottoman storage and the Cali is built on our solid base in two halves, giving a continuous surface under the mattress and a sturdier space beneath. Every bed is made from scratch once ordered, so allow a small tolerance against the stated measurements.
