About the Amica
The Amica is built around a headboard with real presence: 183cm tall as standard and considerably wider than the bed itself, so it frames the mattress like wall panelling rather than sitting behind it. Floor-to-ceiling heights can be made to order if you want the upholstery to run the full wall.
Every Amica is cut and upholstered by hand to order in the fabric and colour you choose; the photography shows Plush Velvet Cream. Because a headboard on this scale rarely negotiates a staircase in one piece, it is made in four vertical sections that bolt together from behind once it is in the room. The joins fall on the panel lines and are invisible from the front.
You can also specify plug sockets built into the headboard. They arrive first fix, with the back box already fitted, ready for a qualified electrician to connect to your mains — usually a five-minute job once the bed is positioned. Faceplates are white as standard and can be swapped for brushed brass, chrome, gold or black.
