About the Alo
Not every bedroom wants a headboard that fills the wall. Alo takes the opposite view: 110cm tall in every size, with the proportions kept wide and low rather than vertical. It sits happily beneath sloping ceilings, low windows and picture rails, and it leaves the wall above free for art or panelling.
The footprint is generous, so do measure before you order — a double takes up 177cm by 230cm of floor, appreciably more than the mattress it holds, and the kingsize and superking are longer still at 240cm. The bed photographed is finished in Bouclé Ivory, though every fabric and colour we hold is available.
Alo is not held in stock. Each one is built from scratch after you order, to the size, fabric and colour you specify, by hand. Measurements are as true as we can make them; with hand-built furniture a tolerance of a centimetre or two between individual beds is normal, so allow for it when planning a tight alcove.
