Ivy

Ivy is a bed with a surround. Every size runs considerably wider and longer than the mattress it holds, so the piece reads as an upholstered platform with the bed set into it rather than a headboard bolted onto a base. Seen from the doorway, it is the shape of the frame you notice first.

The headboard stays at the standard height in all three sizes, which keeps the emphasis on the footprint. This is a piece for a room that can give it clearance on three sides — measure the floor area before you order, and check the route upstairs while you have the tape out.

Ivy is made only once it is ordered, in the size, fabric and colour you choose, and upholstered by hand. Small differences between individual beds come with that, so allow for slight tolerances in the finished measurements.
