About the Dorchester Kids Ottoman Divan Bed
The Dorchester is an ottoman divan bed built to a child's scale. Everything under the mattress is storage, which leaves the headboard to do the talking.
The Dorchester headboard
The headboard is one unbroken panel of cloth — no seams, channels or buttons anywhere on it. It is upholstered in the same cloth as the rest of the bed, so the bed arrives as one piece rather than a frame and a board that nearly match.
Storage under the whole bed
The whole base lifts. Gas struts take the weight of the mattress and the top swings up from the side, opening the full footprint of the bed as one lined compartment — no drawers, no runners, and nothing that has to clear a wall or a wardrobe door. It is the most storage you can get under a bed of this size, and it is reachable even when the bed is pushed into a corner.
Sizes
4 sizes, measured across the finished bed at its widest point:
- Small Single 2FT6 — 75 cm wide × 191.5 cm long
- Single 3FT — 90 cm wide × 191.5 cm long
- Small Double 4FT — 120 cm wide × 191.5 cm long
- Double 4FT6 — 135 cm wide × 191.5 cm long
There is a full size guide on this page, with the bed drawn from the side and from above and every size shown to the same scale.
Choose your fabric
The Dorchester is upholstered to order in any of 26 colourways. Every part finished in cloth — the headboard, the base and the sides — is done in the fabric you pick.
Delivery and what is included
Delivery is free within 50 miles of our Glasgow store and £50 beyond it. Mattresses are sold separately, so you can pair the Dorchester with whichever tension suits you.
