About the Belle
Belle is unusual in letting you choose the silhouette as well as the finish. Ordered as standard it is made with low sides, so the mattress sits above the surround and the bed feels open and easy to get into. Ask for the raised sides and the frame lifts around the mattress, closing the shape in for a more enclosed, cocooned bed. Leave a note at checkout to specify; with no note, low sides are made.
Storage is the second decision. Specified with gas-lift ottoman, Belle is built on our solid ottoman base in two halves, which gives the mattress a solid surface to rest on and a stronger space beneath it. The ottoman version measures slightly smaller overall, as the base sits flush with the mattress and the headboard runs down to the floor.
Whichever combination you land on, the bed is upholstered from scratch by hand in your fabric and colour, under a full-height headboard that stays the same across every size. Allow a few millimetres of tolerance on the finished dimensions.
