Strip A for WP 05, 61 and 62: one trim across three board codes

Strip A for WP 05, 61 and 62: one trim across three board codes — Langham Furniture journal

This guide is about

Strip A - WP 05/61/62 - 240cm - (1 pack / 10pcs)

View the product

Three board families share this one profile, which is why the name reads the way it does. Strip A for WP 05, 61 and 62 is a 240cm length listed at 1 x 2cm in section, ten lengths to a pack, with the finish choice doing the work of telling you which board it belongs against.

Six finishes, and what each one names

Finish optionBoards it is listed for
A OakPanels 05A, 61A and 62A
B Light GreyPanels 05D, 61B and 62B
B1 Light GreyNo board code given
C Dark GreyPanels 61C and 62C
D Dark OakPanels 61D and 62D
T WalnutPanels 07W, 61T and 62T

Two things in that table are easy to miss. The first is that B Light Grey is listed against board 05D, not 05B, so matching the letters across is not safe. The second is B1 Light Grey, which names no board at all on the listing. If that is the one you are drawn to, ask the shop what it is intended for before you order, because the whole logic of this product is the code pairing and B1 sits outside it.

1 x 2 x 240cm, in the order given

The figures are listed as 1 x 2 x 240cm per trim and the listing does not say which is the visible face and which the depth. On a strip this slender that is a real question: 1cm and 2cm look very different along a top line. If the face width matters to your detail, ask for a measurement rather than working from the order of the numbers.

The aluminium strips, and the codes they list

There are metal strips in the range at a longer length, which matters on a tall wall. The Aluminium End Strip and Aluminium I Strip both come in 300cm lengths, so a 2.7m wall can be finished in one piece with no joint. Read their codes before you swap, though: both are listed for WP 05, 07 and 11, which covers Panel 05 but says nothing about Panel 61 or 62, so ask the shop whether they suit those boards. Their finishes are a different proposition as well — black, gold or silver, rather than the board-matched letters this strip uses — so the edge reads as a deliberate metal line instead of as part of the panelling.

Counting packs, and the fixings

Ten lengths at 240cm gives 24 metres per pack. Add up every run you intend to strip, in metres, divide by 24 and round up, remembering that a 2.6m wall takes two lengths and leaves a long offcut. For the boards themselves, the bracket for PVC wall panels 05, 07, 11, 81 and 82 names Panel 05 among its codes. The full trims and fittings range holds the corner strips for these systems, and the ceiling strips if the panelling carries on overhead.

Ordering

Have the board code, the metres and your wall height to hand, and decide before you order whether any run needs a single uncut length. Delivery is free within 50 miles of our Glasgow store, £50 beyond it. Order Strip A for WP 05, 61 and 62 in the letter that matches your boards, and put the B1 question to the shop first if that is the finish you want.
