Wall Panel LED Lighting 03: warm or white, and a 7mm depth

Wall Panel LED Lighting 03: warm or white, and a 7mm depth — Langham Furniture journal

This guide is about

Wall Panel LED Lighting 03 (6pcs)

View the product

Two things separate Pack 03 from the rest of the category. Its specification is the only one here that lists warm or white rather than white alone, and at 7mm it is the shallowest profile. Both are on the Wall Panel LED Lighting 03 (6pcs) page, and both are decisions better made before the boards go on the wall.

Warm or white: settle it with the shop

The description says to choose between warm or white light options, and unlike its siblings this pack's specification says the same. Several other listings in the range repeat that warm-or-white sentence in their opening paragraph while specifying white only, so it is worth having the shop confirm which options a pack really carries. What this page does not say is how the choice is made, whether you state it when you order or switch it at the strip, so ask that at the same time. No kelvin figure is published for either, and without one no page can honestly tell you how yellow the warm option looks or how cool the white one runs. Ask the shop which of the two they can show you lit, or ask for a photograph of each against a board like yours.

How people usually decide, which is a rule of thumb and not a claim about this product: warm tends to be picked for bedrooms and lounges, and where the panelling is a dark or reddish timber tone. White tends to be picked where the wall is doing work rather than setting a mood, and alongside greys, whites and marble-effect boards. If the whole room is already lit warm, a cool line of light along the panelling will read as a different system rather than part of the same scheme.

Seven millimetres deep matters more than the width

Most strips in this category are 9mm deep and the flexible pair are 11mm. At 7mm this one asks least of the recess it sits in, which makes it the first to look at when the gap behind or between your boards is shallow, when a strip has to sit under a thin shelf, or when the channel was routed on site rather than formed by the panel profile. The width, 13mm, is the same as Pack 01, so if you have already measured for that one the only figure that changes is the depth.

The figures as listed

  • Six strips: two of 60cm, two of 90cm, two of 150cm.
  • Profile 13mm wide by 7mm deep.
  • Black strip body, for hidden visibility.
  • Warm or white LED. The listing does not say how the choice is made.
  • Remote control for brightness and colour adjustment.
  • No trim.
  • Strip to transformer, transformer to mains, installation instructions provided.
  • Code AWS-AS010.

Where the listing stops

There is no lumen or wattage figure, no IP rating, no mounting detail and no statement of how many strips one transformer will take. The strip lengths are given as finished lengths, with nothing to say they can be cut or joined, so plan around 60cm, 90cm and 150cm runs. The first cover image is described on the listing as an AI generated visual representation, which is a useful warning worth repeating: judge the product from the other photographs.

What it suits, and what to order with it

A fixed-length black strip in a shallow recess suits a wall of boards with regular joints, where each lit line is the same height. If your lit runs are odd lengths, Pack 07 is the dimmable white strip you cut yourself. If you want multi-colour rather than a choice of white, Packs 01, 02 and 08 are on the Panel Lighting page, and Pack 06 is plain white on a narrower 10mm profile. Delivery is free within 50 miles of the Glasgow store and £50 beyond. With your recess depth measured, order Wall Panel LED Lighting 03 (6pcs) and tell the shop whether you want the warm or the white option.
