Wall Panel LED Lighting 02: the 10mm profile and tight gaps

Wall Panel LED Lighting 02: the 10mm profile and tight gaps — Langham Furniture journal

This guide is about

Wall Panel LED Lighting 02 (6pcs)

View the product

Of the fixed-length LED packs the shop supplies for panelling, this is one of three on the slimmest profile: 10mm wide and 9mm deep. If the shadow gap in your board layout is tight, the Wall Panel LED Lighting 02 (6pcs) listing is the one to read before the others.

Ten millimetres, measured against the rest of the range

Width is the figure that rules a strip in or out, and these are the published widths across the packs in this category:

  • Pack 02: 10mm wide, 9mm deep.
  • Pack 04: 10mm wide, 9mm deep.
  • Pack 06: 10mm wide, 9mm deep.
  • Packs 01 and 03: 13mm wide.
  • Packs 07 and 08: 14mm wide, 11mm deep.
  • Pack 05: 15mm wide, and 20mm overall once its black trim is counted.

So three packs share this profile and the choice between them is about light and control, not fit. Nothing published states a tolerance, meaning how much clearance the strip wants either side of itself, so take the gap measurement to the shop and let them put that question to the supplier.

Six strips, three lengths

The box holds two 60cm strips, two 90cm and two 150cm. The description does not say they can be joined end to end, and it does not say they can be cut shorter, so plan each strip as one finished run at the length it comes in. That suits a layout where every lit line is a board joint or a single reveal, and it suits it badly if your lit lines are odd lengths. For that, the cut-to-length route is Pack 08, which comes in 240cm pieces you shorten yourself. Nothing on that page says two pieces can be joined either, so 240cm is the longest single run it gives you.

One thing this listing does not say

Packs 01 and 03 both state a black strip body, which their listings describe as being for hidden visibility. Pack 02's listing does not state a body colour at all. If the strip will be visible in daylight, in an open reveal or under a shelf rather than buried in a deep channel, that is worth asking about before you order, because a white housing on a walnut board is noticeable and an unstated colour is not a safe assumption either way.

Colour, control and the numbers nobody publishes

Multi-colour LED with a remote that handles brightness and colour. No wattage, no lumen output, no kelvin value and no list of the colours, which means nobody can tell you from the page how this reads at night in a room of a given size. What the remote covers is stated plainly, and that is the part most people actually want: colour and brightness changed from the sofa rather than from a switch behind the panelling. The first cover image is flagged on the listing as an AI generated visual, so look at the other photographs for the real article.

What to order it with

The full set of options is on the Panel Lighting page. Pack 01 is the same multi-colour idea on a 13mm black profile if your gap can take the extra 3mm, and Pack 06 is this exact profile in plain white with a remote. Delivery is free within 50 miles of the Glasgow store and £50 beyond. Measure the narrowest point of your reveal, then order Wall Panel LED Lighting 02 (6pcs) with the boards, so the gap it has to sit in is planned before they go on the wall.
