Wall Panel LED Lighting 01: strip sizes, colour and fitting
This guide is about
Wall Panel LED Lighting 01 (6pcs)
Pack 01 is one of the multi-colour sets in the panel lighting range: six LED strips in three lengths, a remote, and a profile 13mm wide and 9mm deep. Every figure below comes from the Wall Panel LED Lighting 01 (6pcs) listing, and where the listing is quiet this post says so rather than filling the gap.
What the pack holds
| Item | Listed figure |
|---|---|
| Pieces per pack | 6 |
| Lengths | 2 x 60cm, 2 x 90cm, 2 x 150cm |
| Profile | 13mm wide x 9mm deep |
| Body | Black strip, for hidden visibility |
| Light | Multi-colour LED |
| Control | Remote, for brightness and colour |
| Trim | None |
| Code | AWS-AS008 |
Two of each length is 6m of lit line in one box, which is arithmetic from the figures above rather than a claim on the listing. The lengths are fixed. Nothing in the description says a strip can be shortened, so set the wall out in 60s, 90s and 150s instead of assuming you can trim one down on site.
Where a 13mm strip sits on a panelled wall
Strip lighting on panelling works by hiding the source and showing the light. Thirteen millimetres across is slim, but it is still a line, and it has to live somewhere: the shadow gap between two boards, behind a slat, under a shelf, or along the top of a run where the wall meets the ceiling. Measure that gap at both ends and in the middle before you order. A reveal that reads 15mm at one end of a wall and 12mm at the other is ordinary.
Depth is the other figure to check. The 9mm belongs to the strip, not to your wall: a channel deeper than that lets the strip sit below the board face, and a shallower one leaves it proud. The listing says nothing about how the light spreads or how wide a beam it throws, so whether a given recess gives you a soft line or a visible source is a question for the shop. If your gap is shallower than that, Pack 03 is the same 13mm width on a 7mm depth.
Multi-colour, and what the remote is for
The listing states multi-colour LED, with a remote that adjusts brightness and colour from anywhere in the room. It publishes no colour list, no colour temperature in kelvin, and no lumen or wattage figure, so there is no honest way to say here how bright this is or how warm its white setting reads. If a plain white line suits you better than a colour menu, Pack 06 is the white equivalent on a narrower 10mm profile.
Install, and the four things left unstated
The described sequence is short: strip to transformer, transformer to mains, installation instructions in the pack. Worth knowing before you book anyone to fit it:
- The transformer is part of that sequence but is not itemised as an included part. Pack 04 in this range says plainly that its transformer and plug are not provided, so confirm what arrives in this box.
- No mounting method is given. Whether it clips, sits in a channel or is stuck down is a question for the shop.
- No IP rating is published, so treat it as a dry interior fitting until someone tells you otherwise.
- No figure for how many strips one transformer will carry. The only listing in the range that publishes one is Pack 08, and that figure belongs to that product.
The listing also notes that its first cover image is an AI generated visual, and that cover is the only image on the page, so there is no photograph of the real thing to judge it by here. Ask the shop for one before you commit to the look.
Ordering it with the panels
Lighting is easiest to get right when it goes on the same order as the wall, because the gap the strip needs has to exist before the boards go up. The rest of the options sit on the Panel Lighting page, and Pack 02 is the narrower multi-colour alternative at 10mm if your reveal is tight. Delivery is free within 50 miles of the Glasgow store and £50 beyond. Once you have the gap width, the depth and the run lengths written down, order Wall Panel LED Lighting 01 (6pcs) and ask the shop to settle the transformer question with the supplier first.
