Wall Panel 92T Walnut compared with the interlocking panels
This guide is about
Wall Panel 92T - Walnut - Outdoor - 240cm - (1 pack / 12pcs)
Two quite different panels sit next to each other in this range, and the product photographs do not always make the difference obvious. Wall Panel 92T - Walnut - Outdoor - 240cm, code AWS-OWP92T, is the slat-and-space profile. The 290cm packs are an interlocking one. Here is how they compare on the figures their listings publish.
The two profiles, side by side
| 92T walnut | 290cm interlocking panels | |
|---|---|---|
| Panel size | 16 x 240 x 1.2cm | 16 x 290 x 2cm, when fitted and interlocked |
| Panels per pack | 12 | 6 |
| Area per pack | 4.61m² | 2.78m², when fitted and interlocked |
| Slat width | 2.4cm | Not published |
| Space between slats | 1.4cm | Not published |
| Material, as described | Engineered composite | Engineered PVC composite |
| Trim named | Wall Panel 92 Trim - 240cm | End trim and corner trim |
| Brackets | Recommended, named on the listing | Not mentioned |
For the interlocking column the figures are taken from a live listing in the same range, Wall Panel 89A - Oak - Outdoor - 290cm, so they can be checked rather than taken on trust.
What the differences mean in practice
- Coverage per pack. A 92 pack covers more ground than an interlocking pack, so fewer packs for the same wall. Compare 4.61m² against 2.78m² before judging anything by pack count.
- Length. 240cm suits a clad height of about that order in one piece; 290cm reaches higher without a horizontal joint. Measure the height before choosing between them.
- The face. 92T publishes a slat width and a gap, so you can plan the repeat; the interlocking panels publish neither, and their coverage figure is quoted on an assembled basis.
- Fixings. The 92 listing recommends brackets and names them. The interlocking listings name no fixing at all. If you want the fixing method settled in the catalogue rather than in a phone call, that is a point in favour of the 92.
Walnut as a colour name
Walnut here describes the tone of a composite panel. The listing does not say the panel contains timber, does not name the polymer behind "engineered composite" and does not describe the grain or sheen. It does say the panels are UV resistant, which helps colour and structure hold under prolonged sun, but gives no standard or figure for that. A walnut tone tends to warm a grey-rendered courtyard and to compete slightly with red brick, which is a judgement rather than a specification, and the photographs are the evidence worth studying. The same profile in cooler tones is Wall Panel 92B - Grey - Outdoor - 240cm.
What neither listing settles
Bracket spacing, weight, fire performance, cleaning and the exact make-up of the board are absent from both. Neither tells you whether the 1.4cm space on the 92 runs through the panel or is a moulded recess. These are all answerable, just not on the page, so collect them from the shop at the point of ordering rather than after a pallet arrives.
