Wall Panel 92 Trim: a 2 x 1cm border, matched to 92 boards

Wall Panel 92 Trim: a 2 x 1cm border, matched to 92 boards — Langham Furniture journal

This guide is about

Wall Panel 92 Trim - 240cm - (1 Pack / 10pcs)

View the product

The Wall Panel 92 Trim is the smallest section published in this group, 2 x 1cm, and it exists for one board, the 92. Ten lengths to a pack, 240cm each.

A 2 x 1cm section, and what that means on a wall

The listing gives it as 2 x 1 x 240cm per trim, and does not say which of those two figures is the width on show and which is the depth. Either way, a section measured in single centimetres is a slim border rather than a chunky cap, and it will read as a line rather than a frame. That is what you want where the panelling is meant to be the feature and the edges are meant to disappear.

The other side of a slim section is that there is very little depth to take up an uneven background, so a wall that is out of true will show at the edge rather than hide behind the trim. Since the page does not settle which face shows, look at one piece against your boards before you cut ten.

One finish per board code

Five finishes, each tied to a single panel:

FinishBoard
A Oak92A
B Grey92B
D Dark Oak92D
E Black92E
T Walnut92T

That is a tidier mapping than most of the range: no colour here is listed against two codes, and none is left without a partner. Read the letter off your panel packaging and order the trim with the same letter. No light brown or khaki trim is listed here, and the 92 boards themselves are listed in those same five finishes, so if light brown or khaki is the colour you are matching, check the code on the packaging before you assume it is a 92.

Twenty-four metres to a pack

Ten lengths at 240cm gives 24 metres. Measure the perimeter of each panelled area, add the edges of any opening you are trimming round, and convert the total into whole lengths rather than metres, since an offcut only helps if it is longer than the next edge you need. Bear in mind a 240cm piece will not cross a 290cm height in one run: tall vertical edges need either a planned joint or a longer section, and the 290cm 73/83 Trim is one of the longer lengths in the range, though it is a much bigger 4 x 4cm profile for a different board family.

Fitting questions the page does not answer

The material is given as composite, with UV resistance the listing says keeps it from fading or deteriorating outside. Past that the page is quiet: no fixing method, no centres, no note on whether screws, pins or adhesive are expected, and no weight. On a border this slim, how it is held is the whole question, so ask. The outdoor panel bracket does list 92 among the boards it fits, but it is a fixing for the cladding, not for the trim.

The rest of a 92 wall

Borders are only one kind of edge. The corner sections in the range are listed for other families — the 88/89 Corner Trim and the 73/83 Corner Trim — so check with the shop what turns a 92 external angle before you design one in. Boards are in Outdoor Wall Panels and every border, cap and fixing in Outdoor Trims & Fittings.

Match the letter, count your lengths, then order the 10-piece 92 trim pack with the cladding. Delivery is free within 50 miles of our Glasgow store and £50 beyond.
