88/89 Corner Trim: the eight boards it fits, and the TBC profile
This guide is about
Wall Panel 88/89 Corner Trim - 290cm (1 Pack / 4pcs)
The Wall Panel 88/89 Corner Trim has one job: closing the external angle where two runs of 88 or 89 panelling meet. It is sold four lengths to a pack, each one 290cm.
Four lengths, four corners
You buy corner trim by the corner. One length covers one external angle up to 290cm tall, so a pack handles four — a small garden room, or one clad elevation with spares. Note that the boards it is listed against are themselves 290cm, which means the length is matched rather than generous. There is no slack in the pack for a bad cut, so measure the height before you order and buy a second pack if you have more than four angles to turn.
The eight boards it names
Unusually for this group, the listing sets out every panel it fits in full:
- 88A Oak, 88B Grey Oak, 88D Dark Oak, 88T Walnut
- 89A Oak, 89B Grey Oak, 89D Dark Oak, 89T Walnut
All eight are listed at 290cm and six pieces a pack, which makes planning easier than usual: boards and corners arrive in quantities you can count against each other. If your cladding is 73 or 83 rather than 88 or 89, this is the wrong angle and the 73/83 Corner Trim is the one to look at instead. For 84 or 92 boards there is no corner section listed in the range at all, so ask the shop what turns an external angle on those before you plan one in.
The section is published as TBC
Read the size line and you will see it plainly: TBC x TBC x 290cm per trim. Only the length is confirmed. The profile, meaning how far the trim returns onto each face of the panelling, is not stated anywhere on the page, and that is exactly the figure that decides whether it covers your board edge. On a corner that will be looked at from two directions, coverage is not a detail, so ask the shop for the section before you order.
No finish to choose, and one photograph
There is no finish option on this page, while the boards it fits come in four colours. The listing does not say which finish the trim is supplied in, or whether it is matched to the panel you have bought. That is the first thing to settle: a dark oak corner against grey oak boards is the sort of mismatch nobody spots in a photograph and everybody spots on a wall. The page carries a single image, which is not enough to judge a colour from either.
The matching parts
A run of panelling has ends as well as corners, and the 88/89 End Trim is the companion piece, also 290cm and four to a pack. Fixings are a separate question here: the outdoor panel bracket lists 73, 83, 84 and 92, so if you need it for an 88 or an 89 board, confirm the fit first. Both trims sit in Outdoor Trims & Fittings, with the cladding in Outdoor Wall Panels.
Count your external angles, settle the finish and the section with the shop, then order the 88/89 corner trim pack with the boards. Delivery is free within 50 miles of our Glasgow store and £50 beyond.
