Wall Panel 81 Trim: five finish letters and a square 2.5cm edge
This guide is about
Wall Panel 81 Trim - 240cm - (1 pack / 10pcs)
Panel 81 runs to five board finishes, and the trim that closes it off runs to the same five. That is the single most useful thing to know before ordering the Wall Panel 81 Trim: the letter you choose is a board code, not a colour preference.
The five letters, and the board each belongs to
| Finish option | Board it is listed for |
|---|---|
| A Oak | Panel 81A |
| B Walnut | Panel 81B |
| C Light Grey | Panel 81C |
| D Dark Grey | Panel 81D |
| E Black | Panel 81E |
Worth noting: the written description on the listing talks about an oak finish, while the finish list offers all five letters. The finish list on the product page is the one to go by. Read the code off your board packaging and order that letter.
A square section on a 240cm length
The size is given as 2.5 x 2.5 x 240cm per trim, with ten pieces per pack. A square section behaves differently from the flatter trims in this part of the range: it reads as a deliberate bead rather than disappearing into the wall, and it has a little more tolerance for a board edge that was cut a fraction short. The listing gives no cross-section and does not state the material, which is the gap to close before you buy. Neighbouring products in the range are explicitly PVC or aluminium in their names, this one is neither, so ask the shop what it is if you need to know how it cuts or how it behaves near a heat source.
Fixings are a separate line
Nothing in this listing covers how the boards themselves go up. The bracket for PVC wall panels 05, 07, 11, 81 and 82 names Panel 81 among the codes it fits and comes a hundred to a pack, so if you are starting a wall from scratch rather than finishing one, add that to the basket at the same time. The rest of the trims and fittings range holds the equivalents for other board systems, including the slimmer Wall Panel 82 Trim and Strip A for WP 05, 61 and 62.
Counting lengths before you order
Ten lengths at 240cm is 24 metres of trim in a pack. Measure every run you mean to cover and total it in metres: the top line, the bottom line, each vertical join and any edge that meets a door or window reveal. Divide by 24 and round up. Where a run exceeds 240cm you will need a joint, and a joint looks far better placed above eye level or behind a piece of furniture than in the middle of a clear wall, so mark those positions on the wall first.
Ordering
Take the letter from the board, the metres from the wall, and keep a length spare for the cut you get wrong. Delivery is free within 50 miles of the Glasgow store and £50 further out. The Wall Panel 81 Trim is on the product page in all five letters, and if you are working from an older pack, ask the shop to check the finish against your board code before you order.
