Wall Panel 013A: honeycomb slats in gold and grey, measured
This guide is about
Wall Panel 013A - PS Gold and Grey - Acoustic - 240cm - (1 pack / 4pcs)
Wall Panel 013A is the gold and grey option in the honeycomb-effect part of the panelling range: HDF slats on a felt backing, 60cm wide and 240cm tall, four panels to a pack. The Wall Panel 013A gold and grey acoustic panel listing gives a tidy set of figures and leaves two or three out. Both halves of that are below, because the missing ones change how you order.
The listed figures
| Item | Listed figure |
|---|---|
| Panel size | 60 x 240 x 1.7cm per panel |
| Pieces per pack | 4 |
| Area covered | 5.76m² per pack |
| Slat material | HDF |
| Backing | Felt |
| Face | Honeycomb effect slats |
| Code | AWS-WP040 |
The coverage adds up: 0.6m x 2.4m is 1.44m² a panel and four of them make the 5.76m² quoted. Read the dimensions as 60 wide, 240 tall and 1.7 deep, which the 240cm in the name supports, but the listing does not label them, so confirm before anything is cut. The listing also does not explain the PS in the product name, so treat it as a supplier code rather than a specification.
What one pack does to a real wall
Width is the number that matters on site. Four 60cm panels side by side cover 2.4m of wall at the full 240cm height, so a chimney breast at 1.2m takes half a pack and a 3m wall takes five panels, which means two packs with three panels over. Before you order:
- Measure floor to ceiling. The panel is 240cm, and a taller wall needs a join or the 280cm panels in the slat and acoustic panel range.
- Allow for the 1.7cm the panel stands off the wall. That depth has to be dealt with where the panelling meets skirting, architrave, a window reveal or a radiator.
- Find every socket and switch on the wall. They will sit 1.7cm below the new surface, and that is a job to plan with your electrician rather than discover halfway through.
The slat figure that is missing
The listing calls the face a honeycomb effect slat and gives 1.7cm overall thickness, but unlike several other panels in this range it does not publish a slat width or the gap between slats. Those two numbers decide whether a wall reads as fine lines or broad bands, and they also decide where a cut lands if the wall is not a neat multiple of 60cm. Look at the photographs on the listing, and ask the shop for the figures before you commit to a whole room.
Sound: the claim, and the number nobody has quoted
The construction is the usual acoustic arrangement, slats over a felt backing, and the description says it reduces noise. It quotes no absorption coefficient, no class and no decibel figure. For a living room where you want the echo off a hard wall taken down, the description is probably all you need. For an office or a studio where a number has to go on a specification, it is not, and the shop can ask the supplier rather than you reading a measurement into marketing copy. Nothing in the listing suggests the panel stops sound passing through a wall into the next room, so do not buy it for that.
What it goes with
The same panel in the warmer colourway is Wall Panel 013B in gold and brown, on identical dimensions, which makes a side-by-side comparison easy. If you want the metal note without the grey, Wall Panel 01G in shiny gold and Wall Panel 01WG in metallic gold are the brighter options. No adhesive or trim is included, and this listing does not name a trim, so ask which one suits a 1.7cm panel and add adhesive for wall panels to the order.
Delivery is free within 50 miles of the Glasgow store and £50 beyond. With your wall width and ceiling height to hand, the photographs and the full figures are on the Wall Panel 013A acoustic panel page, and anything the listing leaves open the shop can check with the supplier before you order.
