Wall Panel 07B Grey Marble: finishing ends and corners
This guide is about
Wall Panel 07B - Grey Marble - Wall Board - 240cm - (1 pack / 4pcs)
Wall Panel 07B in grey marble is a flat PVC wall board the shop supplies, four to a pack at 60 x 240 x 0.7cm, covering 5.76m². The boards are the easy part of this product. What decides whether the finished wall looks fitted or improvised is the strips, and this listing names five different ones.
What the pack covers
| Figure | As the listing gives it |
|---|---|
| Panel size | 60 x 240 x 0.7cm per panel |
| Pieces per pack | 4 |
| Area covered | 5.76m² per pack |
| Material and finish | PVC with a marble-effect finish |
| Joint | Seamless tongue and groove |
Four boards of 0.6m by 2.4m is 5.76m², so the figures agree. Read the panel size as width, length and thickness. For pack counts, take the wall's greatest width and height, multiply in metres and divide by 5.76: a 3m by 2.4m wall is 7.2m² and takes two packs.
Which strip does which job
Worth deciding before you order, because each strip comes in its own pack:
- PVC Strip B - B Grey Marble - WP 07/11. Closes an exposed board edge in the matching grey marble, so the end of a run reads as part of the pattern rather than as a cut. Comes 10 to a pack.
- Aluminium End Strip, black, gold or silver, 300cm. The same job done as a deliberate metal line. Choose this when you want the panelling to stop with an obvious edge, for instance where it meets painted plaster.
- PVC Corner Strip - B Grey Marble - WP 07/11. Turns a corner in the matching pattern, 4 to a pack.
- Aluminium Corner Strip, 300cm. A metal corner instead, which is the more forgiving option on an external corner that is not quite true.
- Aluminium I Strip, 300cm. Joins two boards face to face where you want a visible division, rather than relying on the tongue and groove to vanish.
The PVC strips are coded WP 07/11, which means they are shared with the 011 boards as well as the 07 range. Useful if you are doing two areas in related patterns, and worth confirming with the shop before you assume a strip will match a board from another series.
Measuring the edges, not just the area
It is easy to measure the wall and forget the perimeter. Walk the job and write down three numbers:
- Exposed edges. Every vertical where the panelling stops in the open, plus the top edge if it does not run to a ceiling or a coving.
- Corners, noting which are internal and which external. An external corner is the one that gets knocked, which is the argument for the aluminium version there.
- Deliberate joints, if the wall is taller than 240cm or you want a horizontal division, which is where the I Strip goes.
Strips are sold in 240cm and 300cm lengths depending on which you choose, so convert your metres into packs before you order rather than on the day of fitting.
What the listing does not state
The description says the PVC resists moisture and wear and suggests kitchens, bathrooms and commercial applications. Behind that there is no rating of any kind: no moisture or water rating, no fire rating, nothing about a shower enclosure, nothing about heat behind a hob, and no temperature limit. Ask the shop directly if the wall is a wet area or near a heat source, because a general suggestion of "bathrooms" is not a specification.
Also not stated: the fixing method, what substrate the boards want behind them, the pattern repeat and whether the marble runs in one direction. A thin 0.7cm board over an uneven wall will telegraph the hollows, so the flatness question is a real one. The shop supplies adhesive for wall panels, but this listing does not name it as the fixing for these boards, so confirm.
The nearby options
For a lighter version of the same board, 07A White Marble is the same format in white. 07E Mix Grey Marble is the mixed grey in the same size and pack count; neither listing describes how bold its pattern is, so put the photographs side by side before you choose between them. And 011B Grey Marble is the grey in the 011 two-piece pack that shares the WP 07/11 strips; check its panel size on its own page. The rest of the range, including the slatted alternatives, is in Slat & Acoustic Panels.
Count boards and strips together, then order both from the Wall Panel 07B - Grey Marble - Wall Board page, where the shop can confirm the matching strip codes and the current lead time. Delivery is free within 50 miles of our Glasgow store and £50 beyond.
