Strip B for WP 07/11: what the 240cm profile does, and does not say
This guide is about
Strip B - WP 07/11 - 240cm - (1 pack / 10pcs)
The trims in this range are identified by letter rather than by shape, and Strip B for WP 07/11 is a good example of why that is worth understanding before you order. The letter tells you which profile in the system you are buying. It does not describe what the profile looks like, and the listing does not either.
Start with the panel, not the trim
Anyone shopping a trim by itself is shopping the wrong way round. Decide the board first, note its code, and let the code lead you to the trim. Here the finishes are written against the panels directly, so the matching is already done for you:
- Panel 07A or 11A takes finish A, white marble.
- Panel 07B or 11B takes finish B, grey marble.
- Panel 11C takes finish C, gold and black marble.
- Panel 11D takes finish D, gold and white marble.
- Panel 07E takes finish E, described as mix grey marble.
- Panel 07F takes finish F, gold and grey marble.
- Panel 07M takes finish M, cream.
Seven options, and the description says plainly that the finish complements its associated panel. That is the one compatibility statement on the page, and it is the useful one.
The numbers you can rely on
Each piece is listed at 1 x 2 x 240cm and a pack holds ten of them, which is twenty-four metres of trim. For most rooms that is generous, and the surplus is not wasted: offcuts from a 240cm length are what you use at short runs round a window or above a door. Check the 240cm against the tallest point of your wall before ordering, because it decides whether a run can be done in one piece.
What the letter does not tell you
The listing does not define the shape of this profile. There is nothing to say whether it joins two panels, closes an end, caps an internal angle or sits as a decorative band, and the two small dimensions of 1cm and 2cm are given without saying which is the face and which the depth. That is not a reason to avoid it. It is a reason to ask one question before buying: send the shop your panel code and say what you need the trim to do, and let them tell you whether B is the letter for that job. Guessing the profile from a thumbnail is how people end up with ten lengths of the wrong thing.
When another profile is the right answer
If what you actually need is a corner, the Corner Strip for WP 07/11 covers the same panels in eight finishes, including a walnut that this one does not offer. If you would rather have a metal line along the join than a trim matched to the panel's own finish, the Aluminium I Strip runs to 300cm in black, gold or silver and is listed for the same boards.
