PU651 Feather Light: 32 x 100cm, stem finish and remote
This guide is about
PU651 - Feather Light (White/Warm LED)
The PU651 Feather Light is the narrow upright of the feather group: one listed size, 32 x 100cm, with a feather-inspired outline on a stem. The description credits it with a remote that moves the LED between crisp white and warm tones and adjusts the brightness, which is the part that makes it more than an ornament. The shape is the reason to choose it, so this is about where a tall, narrow light fits and what you should check first.
The listing, as given
| Item | As the listing gives it |
|---|---|
| Size available | 32 x 100cm |
| LED | White and warm, changed by remote |
| Brightness | Adjustable by remote |
| Stem finish | Gold or silver, per the description |
| Supplier code | MS002 |
Three honest notes. The description names gold or silver stems, while the options on the product page read differently from that, so confirm with us which finish you are ordering before you commit. And the listing does not say which of 32 and 100 is the width, though a 100cm tall by 32cm wide upright is the reading the shape suggests. Ask us to confirm the orientation if you are planning it into a measured gap. And the listing calls it a fixture on a stem without saying how it is mounted, so check with us whether it fixes to a wall or stands before you settle on a spot.
Where a 32cm width is worth more than a wide piece
Most decorative lights are wide, which makes them useless for the narrow bits of a room. A piece around 32cm across goes where nothing else will:
- the pier of wall between two windows
- the strip beside a door or an opening, where a wide piece would overhang the frame
- a narrow hallway, where anything deep or wide is in the way
- beside a tall wardrobe or a chimney breast, filling a vertical gap
- as a pair, one each side of a bed, a mirror or a fireplace
Measure the narrow space at its tightest point, not at the widest, and leave a few centimetres each side so the outline reads as deliberate rather than squeezed.
Height, and what the light actually does
100cm is a tall piece, so the top and the bottom of it are in different parts of your eye line. Hold a tape up and mark 100cm from wherever you intend the bottom edge to be: that is the real test, and it usually surprises people.
On the light itself, treat it as atmosphere rather than as the light you read by. The description credits white and warm settings with dimming, so it will go cool and bright or low and warm, but it quotes no brightness figure, no lumens and no wattage. If you need a room lit for working, this is a second light in that room, not the only one.
What the listing does not tell you
Worth asking before you buy, because none of it is in the data: how the piece fixes in place and whether any fixings come with it, whether it runs from a plug or needs wiring in and where the cable leaves it, what the remote needs to run and whether batteries are included, and what the feather section and the stem are made of. No weight is given either. This is a piece the shop supplies, so send us the question and we will put it to the supplier.
The rest of the feather group
If 32 x 100cm is too narrow for the wall you have, the same idea comes much wider: PU655 LED Wings 01 is 140 x 55cm, PU656 LED Wings 02 is 93 x 88cm and PU657 LED Wings 03 is a square 83 x 83cm. For a mirrored version of the wings rather than a lit outline, the Angel Wings comes at 90 x 120cm and 60 x 80cm. They all sit together on the lighting page.
Measure the narrow wall, settle the stem finish with us, then order the PU651 Feather Light. Delivery is free within 50 miles of our Glasgow store and £50 beyond.
