Wall Panel 81C Light Grey Seamless: sizes and coverage

Wall Panel 81C Light Grey Seamless: sizes and coverage — Langham Furniture journal

This guide is about

Wall Panel 81C - Light Grey - Seamless - 240cm - (1 pack / 16pcs)

View the product

Wall Panel 81C is the light grey in this panel system: PVC with a wood-effect finish, sixteen pieces per pack, each listed at 15 x 240 x 1.8cm, covering 5.76m² per pack. A pale grey behaves differently from a wood effect in a narrow space, which is the main reason to look at it. Photographs and the full listing are on the Wall Panel 81C Light Grey Seamless pack page.

The figures, and the run they give you

Sixteen pieces at 15cm wide make 240cm of wall, each 240cm long: a run 2.4m wide and 2.4m high, which is the 5.76m² on the listing. Read 240cm as the length and 1.8cm as the thickness, leaving 15cm as the face width, and have that confirmed before cutting.

Measuring a wall that is not a rectangle

Dividing area by area only works on a plain wall. Most walls are not, so count pieces instead. Each piece covers 15cm of width at full height, so pieces needed is wall width in centimetres divided by 15, rounded up, for each face.

  • A chimney breast wall is three or five faces, not one. Measure the breast front, both returns and the two alcoves separately, work each out in pieces, then add them. The returns are often only one or two pieces wide, but they still need whole pieces cut from the pack.
  • Panelling to dado height doubles the width you cover per piece if you cut each one in two, which is where the narrow format earns its keep. Confirm with us whether the cut edge can be left under a trim.
  • A hallway usually means two long walls and a lot of door architraves. Count the clear runs between the architraves, not the overall length.
  • Always allow spare pieces. One mis-measured cut on a 240cm length is a piece gone, and a part pack ordered later may not match the first.

What the listing claims, and what it omits

The listing gives the material as PVC with a wood-effect finish, describes the light grey as a versatile tone, says the colouration is consistent across all sixteen pieces, and calls the panel resistant to moisture and wear, naming kitchens, bathrooms and high-traffic areas. It also says installation is straightforward without specialist expertise.

Note what the word seamless is doing there: it describes colour matching from piece to piece, not a wall without joints. And the listing does not state the joint profile, a fire classification, a fixing method, a grey colour reference or whether the surface is matt or has a sheen. Pale grey in particular can read warm or cold depending on the light in the room, and it will sit beside your existing skirting, worktop or tiles, so if the match matters, ask us before you order a full wall. The named finishing piece is the Wall Panel 81 Trim - 240cm, sold separately.

Darker, warmer and other alternatives

Every finish in this system shares the same size, pack count and coverage, so the sums above hold whichever you choose. Wall Panel 81D Dark Grey is the deep version if a pale wall looks washed out in strong daylight, and Wall Panel 81A Oak swaps grey for a wood effect at the same dimensions. If you want a light grey in a different pack, Wall Panel 80B Light Grey Seamless is listed as a twelve-piece pack with its own size and coverage figures, so read both listings side by side before deciding. The rest of the options are in Slat & Acoustic Panels.

Before you order

  • Measure every wall face separately, at three heights, and buy for the widest reading.
  • Check the ceiling height against the 240cm panel length and decide what happens at the top edge.
  • Work out the trim lengths for corners and edges, and order them with the panels.
  • Order all packs together, and check 240cm lengths for transit damage before signing.

Delivery is free within 50 miles of our Glasgow store and £50 beyond. Once the measuring is done, order the Wall Panel 81C Light Grey Seamless pack, or send us the wall faces and we will count the pieces with you.
