Wall Panel 81B Walnut Seamless: 15cm planks, 240cm high
This guide is about
Wall Panel 81B - Walnut - Seamless - 240cm - (1 pack / 16pcs)
A 15cm wide piece 240cm long is a plank, not a board, and that proportion is most of what you are buying with Wall Panel 81B. It is a PVC panel in a walnut effect, sixteen pieces per pack at 15 x 240 x 1.8cm each, covering 5.76m² per pack. The Wall Panel 81B Walnut Seamless pack page has the photographs, which is where a dark wood effect is actually judged.
What is in the pack
| Figure | As listed |
|---|---|
| Panel size | 15 x 240 x 1.8cm |
| Pieces per pack | 16 |
| Coverage per pack | 5.76m² |
| Material | PVC with a wood-effect finish |
Sixteen pieces at 15cm wide is 240cm of wall, and each piece is 240cm long, so a pack covers a run 2.4m wide at 2.4m high. That arithmetic matches the 5.76m² on the listing. Wall width in metres, divided by 2.4, rounded up, is your pack count. Treat 240cm as the length and 1.8cm as the thickness, leaving 15cm as the face width, and have that confirmed before anything is cut.
Vertical or horizontal, and why it changes the room
The listing does not say the panels must run one way, and at 240cm they suit the full height of a standard modern ceiling, which is the usual intention. Worth thinking through before you order:
- Run vertically and sixteen narrow lines pull the eye up. This is the straightforward fit, with no joint across the wall if your ceiling is 240cm or under.
- Run horizontally and the same planks stretch a wall sideways. But a 2.4m length across a wall wider than that means a vertical joint, and you will see it, so plan where it falls.
- Either way, centre the setting out. Work from the middle of the wall so the trimmed pieces land at both ends in equal widths, rather than leaving one thin sliver in a corner.
If the orientation is critical to your design, ask us to confirm the panel has no fixed top and bottom before you buy. The listing does not address it.
Walnut on a full wall
The listing gives walnut as the finish and says the colouration is consistent across all sixteen pieces, which is what the word seamless is doing on this product: it describes the tone matching from piece to piece, not a wall with no joints. It gives no joint profile, no colour reference and no indication of sheen. A dark finish across a whole wall also takes light out of a room, so if the wall faces away from the window, or if you are panelling more than one wall, it is worth seeing the panel in your own light before you order for the lot. We can talk that through with you.
Trim, fixing and the specifications not given
The named finishing piece is the Wall Panel 81 Trim - 240cm, which is a separate item from the panel pack. Count external corners, internal corners and exposed top edges, and order it at the same time: a finished wall waiting on its edge trim is not a finished wall.
No fire classification, no fixing method and no cleaning guidance appear on the listing. For a let, an office or anything that has to meet a written specification, ask us for the supplier's documentation and buy on that rather than on the description. For fixing, tell us whether the wall is plaster, plasterboard, tile or batten and we will confirm what suits.
Other tones, and another walnut pack
The same size, pack count and coverage run across the finishes in this system, so switching colour costs you none of the planning above. Wall Panel 81A Oak is the lighter wood effect if walnut proves too heavy for the room, and Wall Panel 81E Black goes the other way for a deliberately dark wall. If you want walnut in a different pack, Wall Panel 82T Walnut Seamless is listed as a twelve-piece pack with its own size and coverage figures, so read both listings side by side before you choose. The whole range is in Slat & Acoustic Panels.
Delivery is free within 50 miles of our Glasgow store and £50 beyond. When you have the wall width and the ceiling height, order the Wall Panel 81B Walnut Seamless pack, or send us the measurements and we will confirm the packs and trim.
