Wall Panel 05D Dark Grey: how much wall one pack covers

Dark grey is a wall you commit to. Done across a whole room it closes the space down; done on one wall behind a bed, a desk or a television it gives everything in front of it an edge. Wall Panel 05D is a PVC panel in a dark grey wood-effect texture, four pieces per pack, each listed at 60 x 240 x 0.7cm. Before anything else, look at the photographs on the Wall Panel 05D dark grey PVC pack page, because the depth of a grey is impossible to describe honestly in words.

One pack equals 2.4 metres of wall

The listing quotes 5.76m² of coverage per pack. That is not an abstract number: four panels at 60cm wide, set side by side at their full 240cm length, make a run 2.4m wide and 2.4m tall. So the planning sum is your wall width in metres, divided by 2.4, rounded up.

Two things change that sum. A ceiling over 240cm needs a joint, a trim or a different panel. And a wall with a door, a window or a chimney breast is not an area, it is a set of runs, so measure each face separately and add them up. If your wall is only a little over a pack, order the second pack anyway. A cut panel is more useful as a spare than as the reason you stop halfway.

What is stated, and what to ask about

• Material: PVC, described as replicating a wood texture.
• Joint: tongue and groove, which the listing says leaves no visible gaps.
• Size and pack: 60 x 240 x 0.7cm, 4 pieces.
• Coverage: 5.76m² per pack.
• Suggested use: the listing names kitchens, bathrooms and commercial spaces, and calls the panel moisture resistant.

The gaps are worth knowing. There is no fire classification, no fixing method, no grey colour reference and nothing on whether the surface is matt or satin. Dark finishes also show dust and fingerprints differently from pale ones, and the listing says nothing about that either, so ask us if the wall is in a hallway or a family kitchen. Confirm the dimension order before cutting: 240cm is the length, 0.7cm the thickness, 60cm the face width.

Trims, and one detail to query

The finishing pieces named on this listing are:

• PVC Strip A - B Light Grey - WP 05 - 240cm - (1 pack / 10pcs)
• Aluminium End Strip - Black / Gold / Silver - 300cm - (1 pack / 10pcs)
• Aluminium Corner Strip - Black / Gold / Silver - 300cm - (1 pack / 10pcs)
• Aluminium I Strip - Black / Gold / Silver - 300cm - (1 pack / 10pcs)

Note that the PVC strip named against this dark grey panel is a light grey one. That may be the supplier's intended pairing or it may be a listing carried over from elsewhere in the system, and we would rather you asked than discovered it on the wall. Check the strip colour with us when you order. The aluminium strips come in black, gold or silver, and on a dark grey wall a black edge disappears while gold or silver draws a deliberate line.

Lighter, narrower and matching options

If 05D proves too dark for the room, Wall Panel 05C Grey PVC is the lighter grey at identical dimensions and coverage, and Wall Panel 05B Dark Oak PVC keeps the depth while swapping grey for a wood effect. For a narrower board rather than a 60cm panel, there is a dark grey in the 62 system: Wall Panel 62C Dark Grey PVC, which is a different profile and a different pack, so compare the two listings before choosing. Adhesive for Wall Panels is sold separately, and the whole range sits in Slat & Acoustic Panels.

Before you order

• Measure each wall face separately, at three heights, and buy for the widest reading.
• Count external corners, internal corners and exposed top edges, then order the strips to match.
• Order all packs at once so the grey comes from one production run.
• Lay the panels out before fixing, sequence them, and check the 240cm lengths for damage before signing for the delivery.

Delivery is free within 50 miles of our Glasgow store and £50 beyond. Once you have the wall measured, order the Wall Panel 05D dark grey PVC pack, or send us the dimensions and we will confirm the packs and trims you need.
