Fencing 88F Khaki: board width, pack count and the choice
This guide is about
Fencing 88F - Khaki - Outdoor - 180cm (1 Pack / 6pcs)
The Fencing 88F board pack in khaki is the muted shade of the 16cm composite profile, and there are two khaki boards in this range at different widths. Choosing between them is a decision about board width, not colour, and both come down to the same piece of arithmetic.
What a pack of 88F holds
The listing gives a board of 16 x 180 x 2cm when fitted and interlocked, six boards to a pack, and 1.73m² covered per pack. Six boards 16cm deep stack to 96cm, and over 180cm that is 1.73m², so the figures are consistent.
| Board size, fitted | 16 x 180 x 2cm |
|---|---|
| Boards per pack | 6 |
| Coverage per pack | 1.73m² |
| Packs per fence panel | 2, per the listing |
| Covered by two packs | 3.46m² |
| Code to quote | OWP88F, listed here as AWS-OWP88F |
The listing says two packs per fence panel. Twelve boards at 16cm stack to 1.92m, which overshoots the 1.8m a bay built to the board length would be, so expect a board to cut down or keep spare at each bay. If the posts are already in and the heights fixed, ask the shop how they make these bays up before ordering for a full run.
Pack count for a boundary
- Measure between post centres in metres, at both ends of the run.
- Divide by 1.8m for bays and round up. An 8m boundary is five bays.
- Two packs a bay at full height, so five bays is ten packs.
- For a lower fence, divide the finished height in metres by 0.16 for boards, then by six for packs. A 1.1m fence is seven boards a bay.
- Add a cutting allowance and ask the shop what it should be here.
16cm or 15cm: the two khaki boards
The other khaki option is Fencing 86F, listed at 15 x 180 x 2cm, six to a pack, 1.62m² covered. The practical difference is that twelve 15cm boards stack to exactly 1.80m, so the 86 profile lands on a whole board at a standard bay while this one does not. Against that, 88F puts fewer lines across the same height. Neither listing describes the shade beyond the word khaki, and the two are not stated to be the same khaki, so do not mix the profiles in one run without seeing them together.
| 88F | 86F | |
|---|---|---|
| Board width | 16cm | 15cm |
| Coverage per pack | 1.73m² | 1.62m² |
| Packs per fence panel | 2 | 2 |
| Twelve boards stacked | 1.92m | 1.80m |
Fittings, and what the listing does not state
For an existing concrete post run the listing names the Fencing 86 Trim and the Fencing 94 Trim in black, four 180cm lengths to a pack. For a new run it names the 6-inch black fence post and an 8-inch version. Both posts are black, which against khaki boards is a contrast rather than a match, so look at the combination before committing.
The listing describes the composite as weather and UV resistant, protecting against fading in direct sunlight, and says the boards interlock without visible gaps. It gives no material breakdown, no fire classification, no wind rating, and nothing on sheen or batch-to-batch consistency. The description also asks for the full product code and title when ordering, which matters in a range where five shades differ by one letter.
Everything here sits in fencing, inside the wider garden and outdoor range alongside the decking and cladding profiles. Delivery is free within 50 miles of the Glasgow store and £50 beyond. Count the boards on arrival and check one against your own measurement before cutting. When the bay count is settled, order the Fencing 88F khaki pack two to the bay, quoting the full title and code.
