Wall Panel 87F in khaki: matching packs, trims and corners
This guide is about
Wall Panel 87F - Khaki - Outdoor - 290cm - (1 pack / 6pcs)
Khaki is the one finish in this series with fewer matching parts listed against it, and that matters more than how it looks: the corner trim is not offered in khaki at all. So the order needs thinking through in one go rather than in stages. The Wall Panel 87F in khaki is an interlocking composite board for outside use, six to a pack, each one 290cm long.
What khaki means here, and what it does not
The listing gives the finish as a name only. There is no RAL reference, no colour code and no description of the tone beyond the word khaki, and the panels carry a wood grain texture rather than a flat colour. Two things follow from that. Judge the colour from the photographs on the product page and, if the shade has to meet something you already own, ask the shop before committing. The description does say the panels are UV resistant and intended to hold their colour in sun; it does not promise that two packs bought at different times will be identical, so that is worth asking too.
Order the whole wall at once
Buying short and topping up later is the usual way a cladded wall ends up with a visible line across it. Work out the full requirement first:
- One pack covers 2.35m² fitted.
- So a wall of 9m² needs four packs, which cover 9.4m².
- Round up, then add one pack if the wall has a door, a window or a meter box to cut around.
The khaki trim, and the corner that is not listed
The Wall Panel 73/83 Trim in 290cm does list a khaki, and its own option names it as the fit for panels 83F and 87F. Note what that option does not say: there is no 73F in it, so that trim's khaki covers the 83 and 87 panels and not the 73s. Khaki does appear elsewhere in the range on the 84 panels, which take a separate 84 trim, so do not assume one khaki trim covers every series. The 73/83 Corner Trim is a different story. Its finish options run oak, grey, light brown, dark brown, black and walnut, with no khaki among them. If your wall turns a corner, ask the shop how that external angle is meant to be finished in this colour before you order the panels. It is the single most likely thing to hold a khaki job up.
The measurements you are buying
| Loose panel | Fitted and interlocked | Pieces | Covered |
|---|---|---|---|
| 14.7 x 290 x 2cm | 13.5 x 290 x 2cm | 6 per pack | 2.35m² per pack |
The fitted width is the one to plan from. The loose width applies only where a board edge is left open at the end of a run.
Checks when it arrives
- Count the boards. The description contradicts itself once, naming 12 pieces in one sentence against six everywhere else, including the product name and the coverage figure.
- Lay two boards together and check the interlock engages cleanly before any are cut.
- Compare all six for tone in daylight, not under a garage light.
If khaki turns out to be too specific for the job, the 87B in grey and the 87E in black are the same profile with a fuller set of matching parts listed. Delivery is free within 50 miles of our Glasgow store, and £50 beyond. The 87F khaki cladding panel sits with the rest of the outdoor wall panels.
