BK-Roma Coffee Table: two-leg base, foot room and rug sizing
This guide is about
BK-Roma Coffee Table
The BK-Roma Coffee Table is listed at 120 x 60 x 45cm with a ceramic top carried on two substantial legs rather than four. That single difference is what you are really choosing when you compare it with the rest of the range, and it has practical consequences worth measuring for.
What the listing gives us
| Item | As the listing gives it |
|---|---|
| Size available | 120 x 60 x 45cm |
| Base | Two substantial contemporary legs |
| Top | Ceramic |
| Supplier code | MB11 |
The figures are unlabelled. Read as a coffee table they are length, depth and height, with 45cm the height, but ask us to confirm the order if your space is tight in one direction.
What a two-leg base changes
Three things, in order of how often they matter.
- Foot room. Two supports leave more of the floor under the table open than four do, so there is a better chance of tucking your toes or part of a footstool underneath. The listing does not say where along the length the two legs stand, so judge that from the photographs or ask us before you count on a particular gap.
- Cleaning. Two legs mean two things to hoover around instead of four, which sounds trivial until you do it weekly.
- Measuring. The listing gives the size of the top and nothing about the base, so measure a gap between two fixed pieces against the top: that is the full 120cm whatever the base does underneath. If you need to know how much of the top sits beyond the legs, ask us and we will check with the supplier.
Sizing the space and the rug
A 120cm table suits a sofa of roughly 180cm to 240cm. Leave about 40cm in front of the sofa so feet and passing traffic both work; 30cm feels tight and 50cm has you reaching. That puts the working footprint at around 200cm along the length.
For a rug, the usual approach is for the whole table to stand on it with a clear margin all round, which means a rug of at least 160 x 230cm for a 120 x 60cm table. A narrower rug leaves one leg on and one off, and a table on two legs is less forgiving of that than one on four. On a thick pile, check the table sits without rocking before you decide.
What the listing does not say
There is no weight, no top thickness, no stated colour or pattern for the ceramic, and nothing about whether the legs arrive fitted. A ceramic top is heavy, so plan your route in and have help at the door. The photographs on the BK-Roma Coffee Table page show the finish better than any description, and we can check the current surface for you rather than guess at it here.
The alternatives, honestly
If you would rather have the weight spread over four legs at the same size, the BK-Milan Coffee Table is listed at the same 120 x 60 x 45cm on a cross-shaped base. For a chrome frame with a bar between the legs, compare the Chelsea Coffee Table, and for four slim chrome legs the Lewis Coffee Table. The full set is in Coffee Tables.
