The Opulence 10000 Mattress

The Opulence 10000 is the most considered mattress we offer. Its core is a British-made pocket spring system with a 10,000 spring count: each spring moves independently, so support follows the shape of the body closely and movement on one side of the bed is barely felt on the other.

Above the springs sit natural fibres, chosen for what each does rather than for the list. Silk gives a smooth, cool surface and moves moisture away. Merino wool is elastic and resilient, regulating temperature through the night. Lambswool adds loft and cushioning without trapping heat. Cashmere insulates in winter yet still breathes. Alpaca is hypoallergenic and unusually durable, holding its loft over years rather than months. Together they hold a steady microclimate instead of the damp warmth synthetic fillings tend to build up.

The cover is a Belgian-sourced silk-infused cloth, and the borders carry four rows of hand stitching — the traditional method of tying the fillings to the springs. It is slow work, and it is the reason the edges stay firm enough to sit and sleep on for the life of the mattress.
